Overview

The Facilities Maintence Mechanic will demonstrate a high level of Facility Maintenance ability and critical thinking skills, and aptitude for solving complex problems while demanding integrity, sense of urgency, accountability and attention to detail. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned PMs and updates as needed
  • Perform all assigned work and record properly
  • Accurately reports results and problems to Facilities Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Support maintenance activities to ensure quality, safety, and productivity objectives.
  • Visually inspect equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication. 
  • Perform basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and associated work on plant facilities using hands and/or power tools as required.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, test, modify, and maintain all types of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • As required must have the ability to work alone and be able to lift to 50lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Able to oversee service technicians working on plant equipment or construction projects to ensure they are working in accordance with Renaissance Contractor Safety Guidelines
  • Performs duties in support of other trades during regular hours, and for scheduled overtime.
  • Read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
  • Interpret information furnished in written, oral, diagram, graph, or schematic form.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, test, modify, and maintain all types of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain current gown qualifications for cleanrooms.
  • Maintain current NJ High pressure black seal license or ability to obtain a NJ High pressure black seal license within a 1-year time in role.
  • Performs duties in support of other trades during regular hours and serves on an on-call basis for scheduled and emergency overtime.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

High school degree, with a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant mechanical, electrical, or HVAC experience; or equivalent combination of advanced education and experience.  Experience in an aseptic/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred.
